i don't think sirius was a jily shipper but i also don't think he was weirded out or against it. what gets me is fics where he hates lily for "stealing" james, when there's absolutely no canon evidence of him being jealous. i respect headcanons and all but a lot of marauders/ jily fics i've read use the lily/sirius tug-of-war over james trope to the detriment of sirius' character.

Well Sirius had a lot of character flaws so I kinda think those who use it to the detriment of his character are doing a pretty good job of writing him. Imo the canon evidence for Sirius’ jealousy is that I find its very fitting with his character, in addition to the fact that jealousy between close friends when the other starts dating someone is extremely common. I just see Sirius having a lot of trouble adjusting when James, who he depended on like a brother, began spending all this time with Lily.

Headcanons about Remus? I always like to hear people's opinions on whether or not he dated at Hogwarts. And I like your headcanons.

I don’t see how he could’ve had a girlfriend, I think the werewolf secret would’ve been just to hard to keep. I definitely think he wouldn’t have trusted any girl to get close to him. I think he would’ve kissed a girl before he left Hogwarts, prob the other Marauders encouraged him to talk to a few at parties or something. Then the next day he’d have to find an excuse as to why he couldn’t date them. Idk

Well one of them would be that he’s one of the most insensitive people ever… but I’ll give you sexy, haha. I also just see him being into Muggle eveything, music, clothes, girls, drinks, etc. One of my headcanons is that he would try to get away with wearing muggle clothes to class when it was hot and he’d usually get detention.
My favorite ‘headcanons’ is stolen from a line in one of Ashley’s fics. (This quote regards James seeing Lily’s record collection)
He marveled at her record collection, claiming it was much bigger and diverse than Sirius’, which consisted primarily of punk music and one Bee Gees album he swore had magically made its way into his stack.
Also I wasn’t the only one with the idea of Sirius calling Lily ‘Yoko’ that people seemed to like, it’s in Ashley fic also and she was one of the first people I saw put it in a fic I think? So everyone should read it, if they didn’t yet.
So besides the red hair, green eyes, and the fact that she was pretty, we don't know much about what Lily looked like. Do you have any head canons about her appearance? I have one that she's a little on the heavier side of 'normal' weight, not quite chubby, per se (although I think I'd like that), but not exactly stick-thin.

I guess I picture her pretty slender, thus wearing a lot of 70s midriff shirts, I’m not averse to a curvier Lily though. One of my headcanons about her appearance is that her hair color is a really unusual shade of dark red to occur naturally and it attracted a lot of attention, and it wasn’t a very common hair color in her family (which may have raised some weird questions but I like to sort of this it represented how she was a little different from her family, with her magical blood and everything.)

I kinda see them paralleling better as a whole, as far as this cheeky/obnoxious larger than life quartet with a tragic end. Individually it’s kind of hard to parallel them but the easiest way is the say James is John- glasses, first to marry, first to get killed, the fact that this face claim played John Lennon, Sirius as Paul- co leader, initially said he hated marriage, Remus as George, the quieter one who still had their sense of humor, and Peter is obv Ringo.
It’s weird to have Sirius be Paul because I really don’t think they were much alike and I think Sirius would’ve hated not liked a lot of the songs’ Paul wrote. And Sirius and James were better looking than Paul and John, and there’s no way Remus was as good looking as George, but yeah, that’s the best I can do.
J.K Rowling said that her inspiration for Hagrid came from when she was 19 in a pub in the west country and this terrifying looking guy came in with these other biker guys and the only thing he talked to J.K about was how his cabbages were getting on

I've never seen Sirius as a huge Jily shipper, but I always thought that as Lily started spending more and more time with James, she got pretty friendly with Sirius as well, since you don't really get one without the other. And Sirius was pretty cool with her, although he liked to make throw up noises when James and Lily were being very pda-y
Oh totally, I didn’t mean to imply they permanently disliked each other. We can tell from the letter Lily wrote that they eventually grew very close. And there would be days were they got along better than others, and Sirius probably reacted very strangely to the engagement, but at least by the end of 7th they would have formed a friendship or something.
I think the "Sirius = biggest jily shipper" trend comes from the idea that Sirius most likely set up Remus and Tonks, or at least supported their relationship. At least, that's what I've seen, that Sirius just liked playing matchmaker with his friends.
That’s so weird that people think that about Sirius set Remus and Tonks up, since we already can mostly attribute Remus and Tonks’ relationship to the time they were spending together in the OOTP. Sirius couldn’t be bothered with his own love life (as JKR told us) and extremely dedicated to the war effort, do people really think he was concerned whether or not Remus had a girlfriend?

Thanks for linking, that was really cute! You had two of my Sirius headcanons in there, that he can speak French (or limited French) and of course his jealousy over Lily and James’ relationship. It’s infinitely more interesting than the whole ‘Sirius shipped Jily’ trend I keep seeing.
