I kinda see them paralleling better as a whole, as far as this cheeky/obnoxious larger than life quartet with a tragic end. Individually it’s kind of hard to parallel them but the easiest way is the say James is John- glasses, first to marry, first to get killed, the fact that this face claim played John Lennon, Sirius as Paul- co leader, initially said he hated marriage, Remus as George, the quieter one who still had their sense of humor, and Peter is obv Ringo.
It’s weird to have Sirius be Paul because I really don’t think they were much alike and I think Sirius would’ve hated not liked a lot of the songs’ Paul wrote. And Sirius and James were better looking than Paul and John, and there’s no way Remus was as good looking as George, but yeah, that’s the best I can do.
If you really want to do a drawing with just James, Sirius and Remus, that’s fine, that’s your right or whatever
But don’t call it “The Marauders”
Like would you depict Fall, Winter, and Summer and call it ‘The Seasons’ or list Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin as ‘The Hogwarts Houses’? Art without Peter will always feel as incomplete to me as that.

But yeah trust me I have no problem calling out bad dreamcasting but you also have to understand that fanart is not an option for everyone the choices are pretty limited. Like what can you do if even a movie with a multimillion dollar budget can’t get it right?
I find interesting how it stated that all the Marauders were less pranksters in their seventh year because of the war, and not because Lily got between them, as many headcanons imply. Also, she talked about Snape as "their nemesis" not "their victim". I always thought the problem was with James and Sirius messed with him because of that. To tell you the truth, the whole thing about the Marauders Map sounded (to me) like JKR fangirls over them too. I can totally picture her with Siruis' fanart.

Yes I wanted to point out last night how JKR always refers to Snape and James’ relationship as a ‘rivalry’ rather than Snape being the ‘victim’, but I thought it’d been discussed a lot already, but now you’ve got me started on it. I hate when people use that word to describe him because it implies that Snape wasn’t bullying the Marauders right back. And no one can tell me that he was only defending himself; this is why JKR says Snape and James hexed ‘each other’, because Snape would have hexed James unprovoked whenever he could get away with it. And he wouldn’t have needed to defend himself from Remus, yet he was obsessed with getting him expelled from school, probably for no other reason than bragging to Lily about how smart he was for figuring it out. People that say the relate to Snape over bullying need to rethink this character and realize just how awful he could be.
I’m sorry I got carried away with this. I loved the part about the Marauders making the war a priority. But I don’t think I’ve heard people say that they got serious because of Lily, since we know she had a sense of humor also.

You know that James would have actually been the person most nonchalant about Lupin’s lycanthropy. Like, way more than Sirius. Sirius would have been TOO interested/thought it was cool when it wasn’t. But James would have been the best parts of unconcerned and concerned.
Do you know anyone for YOUNG Marauders? I love Aaron Taylor Johnson, Ben Barnes, Karen Gillan. I'm even fond of Andrew Garfield (As kind of a default) and Phil Wiegratz for Lupin and Peter. But they're good for Lily and the Marauders as teens/young adults. Do you know anyone would would be great for the Marauders in their first/second year of Hogwarts or even younger? For some reason Aaron, Ben, and Karen all seemed to have majestically skipped out on being children because there aren't any pics

Idk if his face is that James-ish, but he does have the skin tone, glasses, and hair down… he kinda looks like he could be related to Dan Rad even, which may be what’s preventing me from seeing more James.
